With its innovative concept, pharma-world has become an indispensable component of the expopharm trade fair. It’s the centrepiece of the pharmacy world, with high-quality, certified lectures and discussions on a daily basis once again this year. Among other things, the scientific lecture programme will examine the main discussion topics each half-day:

• Cannabis – to what extent has medicinal cannabis been accepted in pharmacies?
• Advancement through knowledge – getting to know formulation in all its facets
• COVID-19: what winter 22/23 has in store
• Sleep: a perennial favourite topic in pharmacies

inspirationLAB

The interactive inspirationLAB format goes far beyond the usual podium lectures. On this stage, the pharmacy market’s future will be discussed and debated, and comprehensive information provided. Here’s an excerpt of the diverse focus topics that will be examined in the inspirationLAB in half-day slots:

• E-prescriptions – the path to supply practice
• Pharmaceutical services – added value for patients and pharmacies?
• Digitalisation – digital access to the patient
• Sustainability in the pharmacy – mission impossible?
• PCAs – unbeatable in the back office!

In addition to short presentations, lots of best-practice examples and stimulating discussions will also be on offer. The network café offers an opportunity for relaxed networking – the perfect place for an open, interdisciplinary exchange of insight, ideas and information.

Pharmacy Technicians Home

The new home for pharmacy technicians. Expopharm has put together the Pharmacy Technicians Home this year to provide a meeting point where you can exchange experiences and feel at home. Are you passionate about being a pharmacy technician? Then you will find everything important for your profession here, from knowledge transfer to strengthen your consultancy expertise to the latest product innovations. You can also take a break from the hustle and bustle of the fair and make appointments and valuable new contacts.

The Pharmacy Technicians Home is located in hall C1 stand A19 at expopharm.

PCE dialogue

A warm welcome to all pharmaceutical commercial employees. With PCE dialog, expopharm has created a format dedicated solely to pharmaceutical commercial employees for the first time. Presented through excellent lectures, panel discussions or seminars, the focus is on imparting knowledge in the area of product processes and reinforcing the role of the PCE within the pharmacy team.

The PCE dialogue is located on the stage of the inspirationLAB in hall B2 stand D2 at expopharm.

ApoLeadership campus

This is how you can successfully lead your pharmacy into the future. In the ApoLeadership campus, top-class consultants get pharmacy owners and managers within their pharmacy teams prepared for the challenges of tomorrow.

The following future issues will be dealt with in half-day slots:

• Entrepreneurial thinking – more entrepreneur than pharmacist?
• Shortage of skilled workers – able to be solved individually, or together?
• Future-proof brand communication for your pharmacy

Important success factors such as personnel management, marketing, tax advice, pharmacy financing and pharmacy takeovers will be explained in detail at the same time.

In addition, it will also be possible to arrange individual meetings with the consultants. In this way, you can discuss individual issues with the consultants in a one-on-one meeting and already set the course for your successful future at the fair.

Newcomer

Exciting ideas, innovative concepts and young companies with a completely new perspective on the challenges in pharmacy: The Newcomer Area introduces start-ups and their services at expopharm. Young founders have the unique opportunity to present their ideas here to an international panel of experts and to meet important partners and customers. Expopharm visitors will find inspiring visions of the future and new creative ideas for the business of tomorrow.
Furthermore, the popular start-up pitch ‘apostart’ will once again take place live at expopharm. Participants will have the chance to present their products and services to the pharmacy market.

The Newcomer Area is located in hall B2 stand D1 at expopharm.

Tours

Four days, three large exhibition halls, 500 European exhibitors and an abundance of relevant topics. In order to not lose sight, our guided tours offer orientation and special insights. They are specially tailored to your needs as a pharmacist, student, pharmaceutical commercial employee or pharmacy technician: On the tours, you will learn first-hand everything you need to know about topics that are important for your work. A competent guide will lead you around the fair in a group of about 20 people and visit relevant exhibitors along the way. Without annoying waiting periods, because you will already be expected at each booth and will receive your personal lecture.

The starting point for the tours and headset rental will be at the counter in the inspirationLAB area in hall B2, stand D2.

Community meeting

After the long pandemic, there is a high demand for personal interaction among “like-minded people”. Therefore, for the first time ever, expopharm is offering individual community meetings for each member of the pharmacy team. Pharmacy technicians, pharmaceutical commercial employees, students, pharmacy managers and pharmacists will all find their area at expopharm. Exchange ideas, expand your network and meet colleagues from all over Germany in a relaxed atmosphere.

Framework programme

In addition to innovations and new offers as well as the high-profile lectures on several stages, expopharm also offers an exciting supporting programme. The German Pharmacists’ Congress offers an opportunity for the pharmacy community to set the political course for the industry of tomorrow. The opening ceremony will set the tone for the four days of the fair. A highlight for all exhibitors and visitors is at the expopharm Night on Thursday evening. The exhibitors’ seminars and events at their booths offer additional exclusive information, expertise and entertainment.
